The Wethersfield Diner was manufactured in 1953 by Moutain View Diners of Singac, New Jersey. One of the primary manufacturers of Art Deco diners in the 20th Century, they built hundreds of Diners in America during 1939-1957!
Mountain View Diners, of Singac New Jersey outsold most all of the other manufacturers in the 1950’s with an aggressive marketing campaign, sending their units all over the country. While attempting to go public in June, 1956 the company foundered and went out of business shortly thereafter
If you want to know if the Diner is a Moutain View Diner, you need to look for the metal tag. Traditionally this metal tag was stamped with a serial number and placed over the entrance door.
